Soundmachines DYNAMO needs no keyboard modification 20/10/26
Soundmachines tells us that DYNAMO, freshly launched on indiegogo, uses four sensors placed underneath a synth or keyboard to measure the way the instrument is physically pressed while playing. It then turns that information into Velocity, Aftertouch, MIDI CC, SysEx, CV, triggers and expression pedal control, without any modification to the original instrument.
They say that that means an old synth with a completely static keyboard can suddenly react to touch in a much more expressive way. The four sensors can also be used for X-Y gestures and corner triggers, and DYNAMO includes built-in audio processing.
