Moog Model 112 and Model 210 are new full-range, flat-response (FRFR) instrument amplifiers for synths and electronic instruments.

The synthesizer world has been buzzing over the past few weeks, with a slew of new releases from major players and smaller developers alike.

But what about Moog? New synthesizers have been absent, but the brand has just released something that came as a bit of a surprise. Moog has released the Model 112 and Model 210, new amplifiers for synths and electronic instruments.

The term “Model” is usually associated with Moog modular synthesizers or the Model 15 app for iOS/macOS. Now, it also refers to something that isn’t a Synthesizer but belongs to this range.

Moog has announced the Model 112 and Model 210, two new amplifiers. These aren’t ordinary guitar amps; they are full-range, flat-response (FRFR) instrument amplifiers designed for synthesizers, keyboards, drum machines, and modern electronic performance rigs.

Both models deliver an all-analog amplification path, four stereo inputs, and an integrated four-channel stereo mixer. Channel 1 also includes a microphone preamp for performance and rehearsal, while a 3-band Baxandall master EQ controls the complete mix.

Balanced stereo XLR and TRS outputs send the full mix to front of house while the amplifier provides dedicated onstage monitoring.

Headphone monitoring supports silent rehearsal, and Bluetooth 6.0 streaming provides wireless playback for reference tracks and play-along practice.

Bluetooth support is great, but I hope it’s well implemented, since Bluetooth can cause interference. I’ve had some experience with this using the IK Multimedia iLoud speakers—they’re excellent, but the Bluetooth connection isn’t great.

Model 112

The Moog Model 112 delivers full-range electronic-instrument amplification in a portable format designed to move between studio, rehearsal space, performance, and personal monitoring setups.

A 440W RMS bi-amplified system drives a 12-inch woofer and 1-inch compression driver with a frequency response of 40Hz–20kHz. A top carry handle makes Model 112 the more portable choice for musicians who regularly move between creative and performance environments.

Model 210

Model 210 is the higher-output system in the range, designed for larger stages and demanding electronic performance rigs.

A 550W RMS bi-amplified, 2.5-way design combines a 1-inch compression driver with dual 10-inch woofers, one woofer for full range, the second focusing on low frequencies extending down to 35Hz, ensuring powerful response for synthesizer bass, electronic drums, sound design, and bass modeling systems.

Full-grip side handles and removable casters support transport and stage positioning, while two Model 210 amplifiers can connect via Stereo Link for performance setups.

“Every great electronic instrument has its own sonic identity,” said Joe Richardson, President at Moog Music. “Model 112 and Model 210 were designed to preserve that identity, not color it. From the unmistakable warmth of a Moog synthesizer to the transient snap of a drum machine, these amplifiers allow the true character of the instrument to come through. Musicians work hard to shape their sound. They deserve amplification that delivers it honestly, consistently, and exactly as intended.”

First Impression

I think the idea of making amps specifically for electronic instruments is great. There are tons of guitar amps out there. Many people plug their synthesizers into amps for tonal shaping or general sound design.

These offer the full range, which is especially advantageous for electronic instruments.

Moog Model 112 and Model 210 are available starting today, October 27, 2026, priced at $799 USD / 799.99 € / £679.99 and $999 USD / 999.99 € / £849.99, respectively, through authorized Moog dealers and select music retailers worldwide.
